Celebrity Couples Who Share Too Much About Their Relationships
There are some stars who keep their private lives private. Then there are these celebrity couples, who go into way too much detail about their love lives. Brace yourself for the secondhand embarrassment and get to know these TMI pairings a lot more than you'd ever want to.
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard
Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell reportedly overshare so much that industry types can't stand them, Page Six reported. One example? Shepard's detailed recounting of his vasectomy on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. He also told Conan O'Brien how Bell once shaved his butt. Bell herself has said she has no concept of TMI about their relationship, telling Jimmy Kimmel Live, "We are people that like embarrassment. I think it makes everything a little lighter and brighter when you can be cool about your embarrassing stories. There are very few things I think that I'd ever say, 'Oh, please don't tell that story.'"
Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde
Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis are equally blabber-mouthed about one another. At These Girls, a Glamour-sponsored talk, in October 2012 (via Vulture), Wilde said of her first marriage to Tao Ruspoli, "I felt like my vagina died. Turned off. Lights out. You can lie to your relatives at Christmas dinner and tell them everything on the homefront is just peachy, but you cannot lie to your vagina." She then said of current partner Jason Sudeikis, "We have sex like Kenyan marathon runners."
Not to be outdone, Sudeikis said in Elle's August 2013 issue the secret to his weight loss was, well, getting wild with Wilde."The truth is, I'm not getting up an hour earlier and walking on a treadmill," he bragged. "I have the greatest workout partner in the world. And you don't need a gym membership for that kind of workout."
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos
Kelly Ripa loves talking about her romantic life with husband Mark Consuelos. In 2014, she told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, "I fundamentally believe that the more you do it, the more you do it, the less you do it, the less you do it. We just like each other a lot. I love my husband. I think he's awesome. We've been together a really long time. We try to do spicy things together all the time."
On a February 2017 episode of Live! With Kelly, she dished (via Us Weekly), "When there's special married couple time in our house ... He's immediately mean to me afterwards, and I don't like that! I think it's bizarre. He becomes short with me. You know what I mean? Like irritated. And I'm like, 'Oh, now you're irritated? You were so loving three minutes ago!'" In a subsequent episode, Consuelos explained, "I didn't refute it because I thought it was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. ... I just wanted to set the record straight that no one can be mean after something if they are unconscious. I sleep."
Robin Thicke and Paula Patton
Robin Thicke and Paula Patton loved to spill on their sex life and relationship while they were together. He told Elle in 2013 that they often were intimate to the sound of his own music and that she played "groupie" for him.
The TMI got even worse when they split. Thicke's 2014 album, Paula, was an admittedly ill-advised attempt to get her back. He explained to The New York Times, "It hit me that I'd lost my perspective. What I thought was romantic was just embarrassing ... So I shut everything down. I took some time off to be with my son, and to be with my family and close friends. And the more time I took off, the more everything became clear." Still, he added, "My songwriting has always been autobiographical, and always will be," he defends himself. "The Paula album was no different. I was struggling through my toughest time, and I decided to share it. ... In hindsight, the only thing I would have done differently was, I wouldn't have promoted it or sold it. I would have given it away. That would have kept the purity of the message intact."
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
Chrissy Teigen told Cosmopolitan all about her relationship with John Legend, from how it started to how "freaky-deaky" they get.
"I'm not going to lie. We hooked up [when we first met on the set of his 'Stereo' video]," she said. "I let him be himself for a while," she says. "The worst thing you can do is try to lock someone like that down early on, then have them think, There's so much more out there. I played it cool for a long time. Never once did I ask, 'What are we?' Marriage was never my goal, because I've never been very traditional. I was just happy to be with him."
She added, "We're by no means freaky-deaky, but let's just say, we're open to things. We're very okay with PDA. When we go to a restaurant, he loves when I wear a dress, so he can do some upper-thigh rubbing. I would love to see more husbands and wives making out!" She then revealed that they're members of the Mile High Club. "We were on our way to Thailand to see my parents, flying commercial first-class. We were under a blanket. We weren't even in one of those pod things. I feel like we should get a trophy for that."
Amy Schumer and Ben Hanisch
Amy Schumer and boyfriend Ben Hanisch haven't been together two years yet, but they talk about one another so much that it seems like he's been a constant fixture in her life. "Things were just really easy with him," Schumer told People in August 2016. "There were no games, no waiting three days. It was clear and easy. He was so sweet. He didn't know who I was. He'd heard my name." She also told Ellen DeGeneres about how on their one-year anniversary, they both came down with food poisoning, which she described in minute, gross detail.
Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey
Back in 2012 when Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey were still married, he revealed to Howard Stern that he and the songbird made love to the sound of her music ... and that sometimes he got in on solo action while listening to "Hero." He explained, "Sometimes there's special nights when you turn the music on and sometimes it's morning, you roll over and get it poppin'!" The usually private Mimi likely wrote "Infinity" for him for a reason.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt
In 2011, Angelina Jolie boasted of then-husband Brad Pitt to The Telegraph, "I am very lucky with Brad. He's a real gentleman, but he is also a real man's man. He's got the wonderful balance of being an extraordinary, great, loving father, a very, very intelligent man, and physically, he's a real man, in all things that it means." Subtle, but we know where she was going.
Zoe Saldana and Marco Perego
Zoe Saldana has no problem revealing her favorite bedroom moves, or the fact that she and her husband once hooked up between two subway cars. (Here's hoping they had a lot of Purel handy.)
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones
Michael Douglas doesn't mind oversharing about wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, who generally keeps pretty quiet herself. "God bless her that she likes older guys," he told AARP magazine (via Huffington Post) in 2011. "And some wonderful enhancements have happened in the last few years — Viagra, Cialis — that can make us all feel younger." Then there was his now-infamous 2013 interview with The Guardian in which he explained, with little to no mystery, how he got tongue cancer ... which he later admitted that he regretted speaking about so publicly and so candidly.
Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg
When they're not filming their Donnie Loves Jenny reality show, Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy are oversharing to the press and on talk shows. For example, in 2014, McCarthy boasted to Andy Cohen about Wahlberg's "most beautiful" manhood on Watch What Happens Live. "The size is perfect. I can't get too descriptive. But, you know what I mean," she said, followed by some words we can't repeat here, adding, "But the thing about it is ... he makes love to a woman."
Tracy Morgan and Megan Wollover
In February 2017, Tracy Morgan revealed a whole lot of intimate — and hilarious — details about his life with wife Megan Wollover to Ellen DeGeneres. "I bought my wife a house, it's $20 million dollars... When we move in we're going to have another baby. She promised me we can go for a boy as soon as we're in our new house, so we're starting tonight," he said. "You gotta understand, for a whole year, I was on the couch, I couldn't do nothin', so when everything was working, I went crazy! Our sex life is so hot, it's, like, volatile. We role-play, that's how we keep it hot. Like tonight, she's gonna dress up like Blac Chyna and I'm gonna put on a fat suit and be Rob Kardashian. Gotta keep it hot."
John Mayer and his ego
John Mayer is a perpetual bachelor, but that won't stop him from oversharing in the biggest way. He humiliated ex Jessica Simpson in 2010 went he boasted about their sex life to Playboy (via Us Weekly). "That girl, for me, is a drug, and drugs aren't good for you if you do lots of them. Yeah, that girl is like crack cocaine to me ... Sexually it was crazy. That's all I'll say." Except that wasn't all he said. He added, "It was like napalm, sexual napalm. Did you ever say, 'I want to quit my life and just f***in' snort you? If you charged me $10,000 to f**k you, I would start selling all my s**t just to keep f**king you.'"
In the same interview (via E! News), he said, "My d**k is sort of like a white supremacist. I've got a Benetton heart and a f**kin' David Duke c**k. I'm going to start dating separately from my d**k."
In 2012, he told Rolling Stone, "I am the new generation of masturbator. I've seen it all. Before I make coffee, I've seen more butt holes than a proctologist does in a week ... I have masturbated myself out of serious problems in my life. The phone doesn't pick up because I'm masturbating. And I have excused myself at the oddest times so as to not make mistakes." Uh, maybe he's thinking now that he should have excused himself before having this conversation.
Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson
In March 2012, when Jessica Simpson was pregnant with daughter Maxwell, she revealed on air to Ryan Seacrest (via The Huffington Post) that she and Eric Johnson were getting it on more than ever, because, well, we all needed to know that. "I am definitely feeling 'intimate.' I'm kind of unstoppable at the moment! ... Like, the big 'O' is like the biggest 'O' ever." She added, "He's always ready! He's always ready."
Wilmer Valderrama and everyone
In 2006, Wilmer Valderrama gave Howard Stern an interview that would haunt him for years. He waxed poetic about Lindsay Lohan's penchant for waxing, taking Mandy Moore's virginity, how Jennifer Love Hewitt was an 8 out 10 in bed, and how loud Ashlee Simpson was in the sack. At least he seems to have maybe learned his lesson: In 2010, he told BlogTalkRadio, "I definitely learned a lot from this industry and, in the last 10 years, about the media. I learned that no matter who you really truly are there will be instances where you put your guard down and you just have to be aware of that ... That stuff that at one point was the topic and the flavor of the month was one of those things where I understood that I had a choice. ... I could just not make."
