Harrison's journalism career began at a small-town newspaper in 2019. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Harrison pivoted to freelance work in her true passion, entertainment news, after joining the Reality TV news team for Screen Rant. Her affinity for all things pop culture led her to Nicki Swift News as a writer in November 2021, where she gained experience covering live events and breaking celebrity news. She was named Lead Nicki Swift News Editor in December 2022.
